Exclusive Photography Workshop for Trophy Whitetails!!! Whenever the conversation turns to big whitetails, the magnificent native bucks of the Hindes Ranch in South Texas always come to mind. Their bucks have won contests and graced the covers of numerous regional and national publications from Sports Afield to Texas Wildlife magazine for many years. Located within the brush country of Atascosa and Frio county, the ranch’s rich soils, great genetics, and stellar stewardship practices have continuously produced some of Texas’ finest whitetail bucks for decades. Over the past half century, the Hindes Ranch has been the foundation where so much whitetail management, whitetail photography, and whitetail hunting history has been written. Observing & Evaluating Whitetails by Dave Richards & Al Brothers is a direct result of the Hindes’ intensive management of their deer herd and Big Roy Hindes pioneering the methods of aging deer on the hoof. Twenty of the twenty-one bucks Dave chronicled in the book are Hindes Ranch bucks - as are most of the thirty-five bucks in the judging on the hoof chapter. Dave has been photographing whitetails on the Hindes ranch for almost 25 years and looks forward to every new season which brings opportunities to capture more giant Hindes bucks on film. The odds are just as good today as they have ever been. They have lots of mature bucks on the ranch but even their middle-aged bucks can have tremendous antlers. The Hindes Ranch is also an amazing wildlife-rich environment for a large variety of other species that can provide photography opportunities including javelinas, coyotes, and bobcats. They also have a wide variety of bird life including south Texas raptors, waterfowl, Rio Grande turkeys, bobwhite quail, green jays, pyrrhuloxia, roadrunners, and crested caracaras. If you ever wanted to experience the thrill of photographing mature wild bucks on one of Texas’ legendary high-quality whitetail ranches, then I have great news. Richards Outdoor Photography, LLC is extremely excited to offer a rare opportunity for seven photographers to experience this magnificent historic ranch pursuing wild whitetails with Dave Richards and his sons James and Joseph. |
